Keep a lawyer on South Main for the next parent

Every case we take for free is paid for by someone else: donors, volunteer lawyers and local businesses.

The clinic is a nonprofit. Gifts pay for filing help, interpreters, bus passes to court and the staff time that a free case still needs. Volunteer lawyers take overflow cases and staff the Tuesday evening hours.

Three ways to help

  • Give money

One-time or monthly. Gifts to a nonprofit may be tax-deductible; ask your tax preparer.

    Email us about giving
  • Take a case

Licensed family lawyers can take one case a year with our mentoring and our forms.

    Ask about volunteering
  • Give time at the desk

Law students and bilingual volunteers help with intake and with reading papers to clients.

    Ask about the desk
